The Attractions

Elvis Costello, Neko Case to Star in Musical by Stephen King & John Mellencamp

"Now that’s an exciting headline, no? Fact is, those names are only a sampling of the all-star team set to take the Alliance Theater stage in Atlanta, GA next fall for the opening of horror fiction master Stephen King and rocker John Mellencamp’s long-awaited musical, Ghost Brothers of Darkland County.
The Fire Wire reports that the musical, which will feature a soundtrack produced by T Bone Burnett (more on that later), stars Kris Kristofferson, Elvis Costello (channeling Satan), Rosanne Cash, Dave Alvin, Sheryl Crow, Joe Frazier (yes, the famous boxer), Stephen King, and Neko freakin’ Case. Wow. (I knew there was a reason Case and Mellencamp were jamming with T Bone at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival last year.)
After the script has been completed, the soundtrack is in the can, and that epic cast hits the stage, a 3-disc album and book will be released as well".

Greenberg.

Noah Baumbach's new film starring Ben Stiller. Due out March 2010. Looks rather good. You can tell the soundtrack is going to be awesome!

Were You Alone?

I just saw the new award buzz movie at the moment last night. And that of course is "Up in the air". Starring George Clooney who plays a traveling business man who is hired by wussy bosses to fire employees. Clooney's character literally lives on the road. Encountering his counterpart and his love interest who as well lives the same life as he does. Without giving too much away. .this movie truly does have twist endings and surprises you won't expect. And the ending is neither sad or happy. .but an settlement to a great original story. As the commercials so soughlty point out "The movie of the year. .the movie of the moment", "Up in The Air" is the moment where we long for someone to be close to.

March 2, 2010. Save The Date.

Darling Your Head's Not Right.

Julian Casablancas released his album a few months ago. Heres the video for 11th Dimension. Its sort of got a TRON meets Never Ending Story meets Gothic synth Pop meets a Pete Doherty hangover meshed together with Casablanca's drowning voice box.

Wes Anderson. .You Truly are Fantastic.

As a fan of Wesley's movies (That's what I call him) I had to see his new film Fantastic Mr. Fox. I truly enjoyed it, of course the idea of an animated movie did make me cringe. .But Wesley truly kept the adults in the audience pleasantly amused. A great soundtrack if your a Beach Boy's fan. .And a star studded cast. This movie was nothing less then Fantastic. Lets hope Wesley doesnt have too much fun in Paris and forgets to make another classic. .Which We all desperately need.

Maybe the most creepy, addicting, amazing novel/poem/art/biography/ EVER created. The only piece of art that has ever had me looking over my shoulder in fear of somethings thats not there. Whoever has read or has attempted to read its unexplainable pages can only manage to ask one question: Will We Ever Recover?
