Touching From A Distance.

Today marks the 30th anniversary of Ian Curtis' death. Curtis who committed suicide on the eve of Joy Division's North American tour , suffered from sever anguish. A battle with Epilepsy, A failing marriage, An affair, Deep depression, all played a profound  impact on his young heart and soul. Ian's distinct voice, signature dance style, and masterful song writing can't be challenged by anyone in my opinion. And 30 years later Joy Division and Ian's music have just as much influence and impact it did 30n years back. Its a tragedy that it ended so soon, but with the records and eps he left us, we will be satisfied for years to come. As a reporter wisely stated in the Joy Division documentary: "Joy Division, Ian's story in particular is the last true story in Rock n' Roll". .I couldn't agree more.

"I break them down, no mercy shown,
Heaven knows, it's got to be this time,
Avenues all lined with trees,
Picture me and then you start watching,
Watching forever, forever,
Watching love grow, forever,
Letting me know, forever."
